Mobifone said that the number conversion route will be divided into different phases. Specifically, the conversion start time is 00h00 on September 15, 2018. During the conversion period, from September 15, 2018 to the end of November 14, 2018, Mobifone will notify customers of their new subscriber number by text message at the time of successful conversion.
A representative of Mobifone said that 1,000 Mobifone subscribers had been successfully converted from 11 numbers to 10 numbers at dawn on August 9.
Also from that time, Mobifone will apply parallel dialing (applying both methods of calling according to the old number and the new number) for incoming calls to successfully converted subscribers. At the end of the parallel dialing period, Mobifone will continue to broadcast instructions for dialing according to the new number starting from November 15, 2018.
In addition, Mobifone also cooperates with Viettel, Vinaphone, Gtel, and Vietnamobile operators to maintain communication channels and is ready to cooperate in testing the plan before the transition as well as in the official period to ensure the rights and interests of customers. transparent customer communication.
With the new numbers that will be converted, which are granted by the Department of Telecommunications, Mobifone has been actively declaring on its technical systems.
According to Mobifone, Within 60 days from the time of conversion, Mobifone will support 2 converted old and new numbers at the same time. Support to maintain notification tone for a minimum of 90 days from the end of parallel dialing (the notification tone will let the caller know the new phone number of the caller).
Text message to notify customer’s new phone number immediately after conversion. Other tools: the feature to support customers to change their contacts according to the new number, updated on the My Mobifone application.

The route to convert 11-digit subscribers of “Vinaphone” to 10 numbers will be implemented by VNPT in 5 phases, corresponding to 5 numbers to be converted, including: 0124, 0127, 0129, 0123, 0125, starting from 15/05. September 2018 to the end of September 25, 2018. All of this is done at night, to reduce the impact on customers.
Specifically, phase 1 will take place on the night of September 15, beginning with the number 0124 to 084; Phase 2 takes place on the night of September 18, station number 0127 becomes 081; phase 3 will take place on the night of September 21, 0129 to 082; Phase 4 will take place on the night of September 23, the first number 0123 will become 083 and the fifth phase will take place on the night of September 25, the first number 0125 will become 085.
The network code change notice has also been sent by the network operator to foreign partners, to ensure communication for customers in case of international communication.
According to VNPT, after the conversion, customers will be notified and can dial in parallel within 60 days from the date of conversion. Within 90 days after switching, this operator will continue to maintain a tone instructing customers to dial according to the new network code.
